SLOBS clock in with a great blast of trashy HC in the style of early GANG GREEN: the sound is thick and pungent, with riffy guitars and snot-nosed vocals. This Quebec band covers familiar ground with songs that are often stripped down to the basics (as with the no-nonsense "Done Caring"), but they package it in a way so that it avoids cliché and actually comes across as fresh and vital. Strongly recommended! (SS)
